The Mini Hamburger Steak Meal from Pepper Lunch. It shouldn't be called "mini", it totally satisfied a gluttonous me. Was gonna boycott Yoshinoya when they decided not to give me their student meal. But being the peace-loving guy I am, I shall just quietly state in my blog that Yoshinoya SUCKS.
So, there we were at Pepper Lunch directly opposite the yoshinoya food court, enjoying our very scumptious meal, feeling totally satisfied with the extra (worthy) bucks spent.

Another thing, I promised to put a good word on my blog and the forums for Mr John Liew from Merdeka. The next time you wanna buy camera stuff from Sim Lim, 2 places I recommend. Mederka and Alan Photo (both on the ground floor). Go straight to either John Liew(Mederka) or Steven(Alan Photo). John deserves a thumbs up for his excellent service, while Steven is very straight forward in his pricing. Both gives the best price in Sim Lim. Spend your time testing out cameras instead of looking around for the best prices. The code word to mention is "clubsnap". Just mention that you are from the clubsnap forum and be assured a good price.

Few days ago, I bought the Finepix Z2 from John. Was considering between the Z2 or the Canon IXUS 800IS. I went for the Z2 instead due to the price and heavy persuasion from John and SD. Wasn't their fault, it really looked better on the LCD screen on the Z2. It turned out to be a big mistake! The Z2 sucks big time in image quality. It only looks better on the LCD screen, because the LCD is of a higher resolution. However, the image itself, when viewed on the computer is obviously inferior.

And so, I went back to Sim Lim and asked for an exchange. A heap of relief when John very gladly exchanged the cameras for me. Very nice and sincere gentleman. Good service, which is extremely rare in Sim Lim. Most of them scheming vultures, attacking u like bread crumbs.

Anyway, I am now a very proud and satisfied owner of the Canon IXUS 800 IS. It is absolutely gorgeous and the image quality is very impressive for a compact digicam. Tonnes of functions on it without sacrificing all the important elements.

The thing I hate about most consumer cameras is that they always take out something to put something else in. Like the extra megapixels, which is really redundant for a compact camera. (6.0 Megapixles is just right) And the nightshots, higher sentivity for low-light etc can be left out too because any noise above ISO400 is really unacceptable. The flash is inevitable

uh.. what I intended to be a short entry became a camera review instead. sorry. I still have a lot of things to say.. but I guess I'll just wait for people to ask when they wanna buy one.
